How can I become involved?

Once you find an activity that you or a group of people have interest in, you are able to sign up either through online registration or with the paper entry forms found at the Student Recreation Center. Following completion/submission of entry forms by the specified deadline along with your team roster and waiver agreements your team will be entered.

When are the games played?

Most activities will take place Monday through Thursday usually from 3:30 pm to 11:00 pm. Certain activities will be held on Saturday and Sunday. Specifics as to the times and dates of activities can be found on the game schedules page as well as the information sheets.

Where are the games played?

A large number of games will be played in one of two facilities. Inside activities will take place in the Student Recreation Center with outside activities taking place on the Multipurpose Field west of Centennial Hall. A few activities require play at other locations. Those alternate locations include Student Union, Kirksville North Fields, Jaycee Park, Centennial Hall Sand Pits, Pershing Arena, Pershing Natatorium, and Truman Quad.

What are the divisions of competition?

Truman Intramurals offers three divisions in most of our activities. Leagues include Open, Organizational, and Greek. The Open division serves teams who organize for the sole purpose of competition in one or more intramural activities. The Organizational division serves campus organizations that compete against other organizations in each intramural activity, earning points toward a yearly champion. The Greek division serves campus Greek organizations that compete against other Greek organizations in each intramural activity, earning points toward a yearly champion.

What are the rules concerning eligibility?

In activities consisting of 5 or less player on the playing surface teams may have only one (1) former intercollegiate athlete or current club sports player on their roster. In activities consisting of 6 or more players on the playing surface teams may have two (2) former intercollegiate athletes or current club sport players on their roster. Descriptions of former intercollegiate athlete and other eligibility can be found in the Truman Intramural Handbook.

If I can not find a team and I still want to play, how can I play?

Truman Intramurals offers a free agent list.  If you are unable to get on a team, just send an email to the Intramural Director with your name, what sport(s) you are interested in playing and the best way to contact you (phone and/or email).  When a team is looking for team members, they should email the Intramural Director for a list of names.

I really want to join Intramural Sports, but I do not have enough for a team, what do I do?

Send an email to the Intramural Director, stating that you are in need of players for a certain sport.  The Intramural Director will in turn send an email with a list of people from the free agent list!

What about injuries and insurance?

Individuals are encouraged to have a physical examination and obtain adequate health and accident insurance PRIOR TO PARTICIPATION. Individuals are reminded that their participation is entirely voluntary and at their own risk and may involve risks of injury and accidents. Truman State University assumes no responsibility for injuries or accidents.

Where can I get my game schedules?

Once schedules are posted each team is able to find their team schedule online on the game schedules page. Once there you will be able to pick your sport/division and see when you have games scheduled. Also league and tournament schedules will be posted on the Intramural bulletin board located on the first floor of the Student Recreation Center.
