A variety of FREE group fitness classes, such as Cardio Kickboxing, Ab Blaster, Yoga, and more. Each class has an Instructor that teaches and demonstrates the skills and movements needed for the class. Instructors show modifications for all skill levels. Progression and difficulty are added throughout the semester.
All classes are held in the Aerobics Room located on the Second floor of the Student Recreation Center.

Build core stability as you strengthen your trunk muscles in this fantastic 25-minute workout. Classes focus on a wide variety of safe, effective exercises for the abs and lower back.

Looking for a class to target all your major muscle groups utilizing Challenge Pro bars, dumbbells and Xertubes? This class will give you the burn you are looking for in a group setting.

Using dumbbells, Xertubes, and Challenge Pro Body Bars discover ways to challenge your muscles to help get the desired definition you have been trying for. This class will increase your muscular strength and stability while improving your flexibility and endurance. Emphasis will be placed on correct form and technique to achieve the best results.

This 25 minute work out is a condensed “butt only” class to target your rear. Various exercises will be used to help tighten, lift, and tone this often forgotten area. No experience needed.

A fun, upbeat aerobic dance class set to yesterday & today’s hip hop beats. Geared towards those who love to dance. A new, progressive routine is learned each class, generally five eight-counts in length. Come with no experience or tons of experience- either way, be ready to have fun!

This 25 minute innovative JUMP ROPE workout is oriented for any fitness level with basic to intermediate skills. NEW CLASS--We have added 20 more minutes of our calorie burning step class just for you! Step-Plus will challenge your cardiovascular training by increasing the step routine from 40 minutes to 60 minutes...come check it out!

This class is designed for those who want to have fun in martial arts, but want to take their training seriously. The class will cover techniques of several Korean Martial Arts from white belt through Black Belt, with an emphasis on the World Tae Kwon Do Federation. Throughout the semester students will be encouraged to earn and test for belt ranks. Students will also have many opportunities to participate in supplementary clinics, seminars, and tournaments at Truman State University and throughout Missouri and Kansas. All students, with or without prior experience, are welcome.

NEW CLASS--There is no "wrong yoga." The goal of yoga is to maintain safe and proper formation. This class is open to beginners as well as advanced students focusing solely on correct body formation.

NEW CLASS--This class consists of 60 minutes of vinyasa (or flow) yoga with an optional 15 minute meditation/ visualization/ relaxation at the end. This is yoga that will make you sweat and then relax deeply in the ending savasana (relaxation). Vinyasa means flowing from one position into the next with very few resting periods. This class is still offered to all and there are no prerequisites, but yoga basic is suggested for all yoga in order to learn and maintain proper form. Modifications will always be offered.
